OHS Head Athletic Trainer
Mr. Terry "TC" Carlyle, BA, ATC, ATR
    Mr. Terry "TC" Carlyle, BA, ATC, ATR is the Head Athletic Trainer at Owatonna High School.  TC, a native of Colfax, Iowa, earned a BA in 1986 from William Penn College.  He joined the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) in 1984 and became a NATA Certified Athletic Trainer in 1988.  He is currently registered with the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice and a member of the Minnesota Athletic Trainers' Association (MATA)..
     TC came to Owatonna in July 1990 to work in the Owatonna Hospital's Rehab Department.  He previously spent three years working at William Penn College and Mahaska County Hospital and a year and a half at HealthReach Rehab Center in Albert Lea.
       In addition to serving as Owatonna High School's Head Athletic Trainer, TC contracts through Owatonna Hospital to consult with Medford High School, Blooming Prairie High School, Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, Owatonna Gymnastics Club, Owatonna Law Enforcement Center, Owatonna Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance-Owatonna, and various community businesses and organizations.
Assistant Athletic Trainer: Ms. Jen Lorenzo, MA, ATC, ATR
Assistant to the Trainer: Jeremy "Toby" Erler
    Jeremy "Toby" Erler graduated from OHS in 1995.  He served as a student assistant athletic trainer while in high school.  Toby had taken many Athletic Training classes in college before deciding to pursue Elementary Education and coaching.  Toby earned his BS from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2001.  He has helped as a volunteer assistant to the trainer for many years and served as an assistant wrestling coach at OHS.  He currently teaches elementary school in Janesville.  Toby, his wife Brittany, daughter Kiya and son Kelton live in Owatonna.
Assistant to the Trainer: Ken Ringhofer, NREMT-P (Paramedic)
    Ken Ringhofer graduated from OHS in 1981.  He earned his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and joined Gold Cross Ambulance-Owatonna in 1990.  In 1998 he completed his paramedic training.  Ken has helped as a volunteer assistant to the trainer for the past few years and has helped teach the Athletic Training Student Assistant Program segments on emergency procedures, back boarding, CPR and AED.  Ken, his wife Edna, and their three children, Tony, Katie, and Courtney, live in Owatonna.
Assistant to the Trainer:  Tony Kath, NREMT-P (Flight Paramedic)
    Tony Kath graduated from OHS in 1992.  He served as a student assistant athletic trainer while in high school and was the first student assistant at OHS.  Tony earned his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in 1992 and went on to become a paramedic in 1995.
     Tony is a former employee of Gold Cross Ambulance, Waseca Ambulance, and Tri-State Ambulance.  He currently serves as a Flight Paramedic with MedLink Air (Helicopter Ambulance) out of La Crosse, Wisconsin's Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.  He has helped as a volunteer assistant to the trainer for many years.
     Tony, his wife Becky, and their daughters Ellie and Kaelyn live in La Crosse.
Voluntary Assistant: Ms. April Johnson
    April graduated from OHS in 2002.  She graduated from St. Mary's University in 2006 with a degree in education.
     April lives in Owatonna and works at Three Rivers Head Start in Faribault.
